Unified Extensible Firmware Interface

EFI files, most commonly referred to as, Extensible Firmware Interface files, are a type of file extension most commonly used for creating an environment in order to boot up the OS. EFI file extensions are usually hidden in the OS in a special EFI system partition and are considered to be UEFI boot loaders. EFI files exist in UEFI file systems and contain data which dictates, how the boot process should occur, or how the booting phases should be executed/initiated. The EFI format was originally developed in the 1990s when the first generation of the Intel HP Itanium systems were being built. It was designed as part of the "Intel Boot Initiative" to tackle server platforms which were large in size; later on, it came to be known as the "Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI)"

Java Archive File

A .jar extension file is a Java Archive format file that is used to store a large number of files into one single file. The basic advantages of .jar extension files are data compression, archiving, decompression, unpacking of the archived file and electronic signing which is one of the advanced features of this format. The Java Development Kit (JDK) contains the Java Archive Tool that is used to perform the basic tasks on .jar extension files. The JAR format is similar to a ZIP file format and it was specifically developed to help download Java applets and its components that include class files, images and sounds in one single HTTP transaction.

How to convert UEFI to JAR

STEP 1

Select the archive file in the UEFI format to convert to the JAR format, you can select a file from your computer or your Google Drive or Dropbox account.                            

STEP 2

Choose the JAR format from the drop-down list as the output format, and click the Convert button, you can convert up to 5 files at the same time and a maximum size of up to 500 MB.

STEP 3

Wait until your file is uploaded and converted into the JAR archive format, you can download the converted file up to a maximum of 5 times, and can also delete the file from the Download page.
