Text Compression for Reader

The .tcr filename extension is a compressed text file format for eBooks and text associated with eBook reader software developed by Psion, a London based techonology company. The format has its beginnings in the early 90's and was designed for use on the PDAs released by the company, particularly the Series 3 handheld PDA. Though the format is proprietary and was intended for exclusive use on Psion devices, today, a few eBook reader applications can open files encoded in this format. As PDAs eventually lost there popularity, the format was discontinued when Psion eventually pulled out of the PDA market.
EPUB

Open eBook File

The ePub format is one of the many open source eBook file formats available. Initially released in 2007, it succeeded the legacy Open eBook format. The format was first defined by the Open eBook forum, part of the international digital publishing forum. EPUB digital books and publications all have the associated .epub extension and can be opened and viewed on any compatible device, software application, smartphone, or dedicated reader. The format is capable of optimizing the resolution of digital publications to suite the resolution of the device being used, making it inherently a 'reflowable' format.

How to convert TCR to EPUB

STEP 1

Select the ebook file in the TCR format to convert to the EPUB format, you can select a file from your computer or your Google Drive or Dropbox account.                            

STEP 2

Choose the EPUB format from the drop-down list as the output format, and click the Convert button, you can convert up to 5 files at the same time and a maximum size of up to 500 MB.

STEP 3

Wait until your file is uploaded and converted into the EPUB ebook format, you can download the converted file up to a maximum of 5 times, and can also delete the file from the Download page.
