WordPerfect Graphic File

The WordPerfect Graphics (WPG) Metafile file extension is a creation of WordPerfect Corporation (WPC) and supported by other Corel applications. At first, the student from BYU has developed WordPerfect program, which is then acquired by Corel. The WPG file format contains vector and bitmap image data, and it can support at most 256 colors. However, some other features of WPG files are that it can include Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) information as well. The clipart image commonly uses the WPG extension. A person can find the WPG files in any environment which supported by WPC products such as MS-DOS, UNIX, and Apple Macintosh. The programs which can open the WPG files are Perfectspot and Inkscape. Both the software has the capability to operate the file, and can convert a WPG file into the image format. The Libwpg provides a free C++ library, by the use which a person can convert A WPG format to other formats.

The .svgz extension files are Scalable Vector Graphics files that have been compressed using the GZIP compression. These files support graphical elements that include transparency, animations, gradients and filters. They consist of graphics data that is put together in an XML format. Images, text and vector graphic shapes which are paths that comprise of curves and straight lines are the three kinds of graphic objects allowed by .svg extension format. Excellent dynamic and interactive images can be created using the Scalable Vector Graphics technology which has been developed by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) SVG group in 1998 and launched in 1999. It has been used by many web designers since then for attractive graphical representation. As per W3C recommendation, SMIL is the right choice for SVG when it comes to animation. Onmouseover or Onclick assignments can also be configured for objects in the SVG graphics to handle specific animation events to make the image dynamic and interactive.

How to convert WPG to SVGZ

STEP 1

Select the image file in the WPG format to convert to the SVGZ format, you can select a file from your computer or your Google Drive or Dropbox account.                            

STEP 2

Choose the SVGZ format from the drop-down list as the output format, and click the Convert button, you can convert up to 5 files at the same time and a maximum size of up to 500 MB.
