CRW is a RAW format, the purpose of the RAW format is that of preserving as much as possible of the data obtained by the image sensor of the device along with the conditions captured by it. This includes the colour and light, trying to maintain it's intensity as much as possible. RAW formats will, generally, stock the information according to the geometry of the photo-receptive elements.
The maximum height and width of a .psd extension file cannot exceed 30,000 pixels and its size cannot exceed 2 GB which is the maximum limit for these files, however, this may change in future.
