The WordPerfect Graphics (WPG) Metafile file extension is a creation of WordPerfect Corporation (WPC) and supported by other Corel applications. At first, the student from BYU has developed WordPerfect program, which is then acquired by Corel. The WPG file format contains vector and bitmap image data, and it can support at most 256 colors. However, some other features of WPG files are that it can include Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) information as well. The clipart image commonly uses the WPG extension. A person can find the WPG files in any environment which supported by WPC products such as MS-DOS, UNIX, and Apple Macintosh. The programs which can open the WPG files are Perfectspot and Inkscape. Both the software has the capability to operate the file, and can convert a WPG file into the image format. The Libwpg provides a free C++ library, by the use which a person can convert A WPG format to other formats.
The Picture Exchange file format, shortened PCX, with the .pcx filename extension is an image file format developed by ZSoft Corporation. It was initially released in 1985 as a lossless bitmap image format and for a time was the default file format for PC paintbrush. The format is now largely superseded by other formats given the target platforms for the software associated with the format are no longer in production, i.e. MS DOS and Windows 1.0.
FreeFileConvert uses tuned encoding for WPG to PCX conversions, preserving clarity while trimming file size. Finished audio streams instantly across phones, tablets, desktops, and modern browsers without extra tweaks.
Upload WPG files from desktop, tablet, or cloud storage, queue multiple jobs, and let the converter finish autonomously. Return whenever convenient to download synchronized PCX results on any device you rely on.
Process up to 5 files sized 1000 MB per batch without splitting queues manually. Mixed-format uploads convert together, producing consistent PCX audio with dependable progress tracking.
WPG format is mainly used by WordPerfect, but some other software can also use the file. The programs that can use the WPG files are PaintShop Pro and the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite. Inkscape and Perfectspot are some of the software examples which is not from the Corel family but still support the WPF file extension. The WPG file extension is default in WordPerfect for its graphics. Most of the data with the WPG extension has very complex data. Such files can be bitmaps or vector. The file contains a header, in the prefix area, and the graphics data, to record the area. The record area of .WPG file extension consists of the number of object and their attributes that can provide the image.
Later iterations of the format supported 24bit color palette, upgrading from the original 2 to 4 colors. Byte ordering used by the format is little endian ordering with three blocks; a 128 byte header, image data and an optional 256 color palette. Image data is stored in an orthoganal arrangement of scan lines ordered from the top to the bottom. Files can eiher be compressed using the simple RLE (Run Length Encoding) algorithm or uncompressed.
Upload your image file in the WPG format from your device, Dropbox, or Google Drive.
Select PCX as the output format and click Convert. Adjust optional settings if needed.
Download the converted image file. Each file stays available for up to 5 downloads.
