ARW image file captured by a camera is in a raw condition and needs to be processed to meet the required specifications before converting to a TIFF or JPEG format. The image can be received either from the image sensor of a digital camera, an image scanner or a motion picture film scanner. There may be a requirement to install the Sony RAW Driver to view the .arw extension files in any of the built-in image viewers that may be compatible to view files in this format.

Typically, the pdb file will contain global/local variables, function names and their point of entry, frame pointer omission records, and source line numbers.
