Anime Music Video File

The AMV video file format is a proprietary video container which was created for Chinese made and video enabled S1 MP3 players and MP4 players. The goal of the format was to primarily lower the cost of hardware components and royalty fees required for video playback using other container formats on these video enabled devices. The .amv file type is a modified version of the more commonly known AVI multimedia container with the video codec being a version of motion JPEG (MJPEG) format.
WMV

Windows Media Video File

The Windows Media Video (or WMV) file format and its associated .wmv filename extension was first released to the public in 1999. It was a proprietary video stream wrapper developed by Microsoft as part of their ASF multimedia container. As of writing, WMV is no longer considered proprietary, since WMV 9 gained standardization as an open standard in the SMPTE 421M specification as VC-1. WMV supports a combination of both audio and video bit streams compressed using one of Microsoft's associated codecs. Also supported is windows media digital rights management for video content.

How to convert AMV to WMV

STEP 1

Select the video file in the AMV format to convert to the WMV format, you can select a file from your computer or your Google Drive or Dropbox account.
